This elegant French chandelier, dating to circa 1945, is crafted from hand-forged painted iron with a striking scrolling silhouette characteristic of mid-century French decorative ironwork. The openwork frame is finished in a rich oxblood red with gilt-highlighted acanthus leaf ornament and a carved pendant finial, creating a graceful balance between rustic craftsmanship and refined neoclassical design.
The chandelier features eight scrolling candle arms with shaped iron drip pans and brass candle sockets arranged around a decorative central standard. Intricate hand-forged scrolls and foliate motifs lend visual lightness while showcasing the quality of the ironwork.
