We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely fully restored Victorian wingback armchair with ornately carved frame and claw … Read more We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely fully restored Victorian wingback armchair with ornately carved frame and claw and ball feet A very nicely restored piece, the chair has been stripped back and reupholstered with luxury purple velvet to the back and sides with and an attractive paisley to the front, the contrast is very circa 1800s English country house fine furniture The base as mentioned is very nicely carved, the claw and ball feet are especially well executed, it has been ebonized black as was the fashion in high Victorian society Dimensions: Height 107cm Width 78cm Depth 82.5cm Seat height 45cm. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
