The pew has high rounded arms with carved detailing and rounded corners. The spacious seat has rounded edges beneath a small plinth base with a central seat support beneath. To the reverse both arms carry a trefoil carved detailing symbolizing the holy trinity in christian iconography. The number seventy six in brass is attached above the trefoil to the left arm. Beneath each a moulded stepped arch with detailing makes the pew attractive from both the front and reverse. The pew would be perfect for a smaller space or boot room due to its thin profile. Rich chestnut brown in colour and good patination throughout making this pew a stand out example that exudes charm and is presented in good country house condition. Scottish, circa 1880.
