The original parcel-gilt finish presents beautifully with a warm, mellow … moreVery good vintage condition consistent with age and careful use. The original parcel-gilt finish presents beautifully with a warm, mellow patina and light surface wear, scattered rubs, and minor abrasions commensurate with age. The ebonized inner liners retain an attractive finish with only minimal wear. Each frame exhibits a few stable age-related hairline finish and substrate shrinkage lines visible upon close inspection. These are typical of large composite and gesso-framed mirrors of this period and do not appear to compromise structural integrity. There are no significant losses to the molded profile, and the finish remains well preserved overall. The mirror plates are clear and present well, with only light age-appropriate wear. The original Friedman Brothers labels remain present on the reverse. The kraft paper backing shows expected tears and wear from age and handling but does not affect functionality. Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved monumental pair that displays beautifully, with only the minor cosmetic imperfections expected of vintage decorative mirrors of this scale.
