A highly detailed vintage German pewter match or toothpick holder featuring a dimensional bull moose standing beside a cylindrical forest-scene vessel. The cup is cast in deep relief with trees, foliage, and woodland textures, while darkened recesses emphasize the sculptural detail.
The piece is composed of 95% pewter and has the substantial weight and crisp casting associated with higher-quality European pewter work. Two coordinating silverplated picks with decorative finials are included.
Use it beside a fireplace or candle as a match holder, on a dining table as a toothpick holder, or on a bar as a compact cocktail-pick vessel. Its woodland subject also makes it a strong decorative accent for a lodge, cabin, mountain house, or hunting-themed interior.
Marked “95%” on the underside. The construction and forest motif closely resemble German BMF Zinn work.
