27”W x 39”H Excellent condition, Lithograph in colors on premium very thick matte finish paper, printed by Petersburg Press, England, Unframed.
This beautiful original vintage poster was designed by David Hockney for the Film Society of Lincoln Center's 19th annual New York Film Festival. It features Hockney's 1970 colored pencil and crayon drawing Window, Grand Hotel, Vittel, a cinematic image that draws the viewer into an enchanting scene of sunlight, serenity, and calm. The drawing has itself become celebrated largely through this now-iconic poster. This premium-quality lithograph was printed by Petersburg Press, England, a shop renowned for its fine art limited-edition prints, and for its close collaboration with Hockney on many of his most celebrated prints and posters.
