Excellent Showa Era vintage Japanese 4-panel painted silk Byobu (folding screen), depicts a Mountain Landscape with river, houses, and a man walking on a bridge. Signed and sealed by artist in ink. Watercolor, gouache and ink on silk over paper. Silk border. Lacquered brown wood frame with engraved copper corners, plaques and medallions, showing some age patina. Paper on back. Comes in an original carboard storage box. Japan, Showa Era, circa 1960s. Nearly Excellent condition - no damage to the painting nor back, minor age wear overall, not noticeable repair at the left edge of the second panel, strong hinges, clean, sturdy. This byobu most likely had one owner in the past.
