Bearing the prestigious "Squirrel" hallmark and the "Argent Doublé" stamp, this piece exemplifies the superior quality of French silver-plating techniques from the late 1800s.
The kettle is a triumph of Neo-Rococo design, featuring a voluminous body adorned with exquisite shell motifs, acanthus leaf reliefs, and a handle with an original bone insulator. The heavy, ornate tripod stand and the original spirit burner remain perfectly intact.
Authenticity & Condition:
In accordance with the highest standards of antique preservation, this item has been intentionally left uncleaned. We have chosen to preserve its magnificent century-old patina and "two-tone" depth, which highlights the incredible sculptural detail of Desbruères’ work—something that would be lost with modern over-polishing. The teapot handle is made of ivory (possibly).
As a genuine witness to over a hundred years of history, the piece exhibits minor imperfections and small dents. These slight signs of age are not defects but essential elements of its authentic character and historical soul.
