Executed in amber and clear satin-finished crystal, it features a high-relief amber shell contrasted by a satin-frosted clear crystal head and limbs. The diamond-etched cursive signature, Lalique ® France, is consistent with production from 1978 onwards, while this amber version remained in production until its retirement in 1999.

The sculptural form reflects Lalique's enduring interpretation of natural subjects through finely modelled crystal and contrasting polished and satin finishes. The amber shell provides depth and warmth, while the frosted extremities accentuate the naturalistic modelling.
