The pair includes Plate 23, Kupfergimpel, depicting richly colored Copper Archangel pigeons, and Plate 39, Farbentauben: Flügeltaube mit Latschen, featuring white Saxon and Bohemian wing pigeons with colored wing shields and dramatically feathered feet. Together, the plates create a striking contrast between the saturated copper, burgundy, blue, and green plumage of the Copper Archangels and the quieter whites, creams, and soft blues of the Saxon and Bohemian wing pigeons.

Each chromolithograph is presented in a coordinated archival double mat measuring 9 × 12 inches overall.
