The Best of the World's Classics book set, first edition, published in 1909 by Funk and Wagnalls Company with Henry Cabot Lodge as Editor-in-Chief. This set includes nine books of the ten-volume collection, with volume seven missing. Soft Cornflower blue linen covers feature navy blue Art Nouveau floral designs on the spines and front covers in the style of William Morris.
Henry Cabot Lodge was an American historian, politician, and statesman from Massachusetts.
