This armchair originated in 1930s France, a time when Art Deco was shedding its ornamentation to adopt a more architectural style. Its structure, composed of clean lines and geometric volumes, evokes the work of the Union of Modern Artists and foreshadows the furniture of René Gabriel.

The armchair has recently been reupholstered in natural cowhide, whose brown, black, and ivory hues complement the warmth of the wood.
