Some pieces seem to have been designed in a single stroke.

This chair, made of braided rope and steel, unfolds in space like a continuous line that successively becomes the base, seat, backrest, and then armrest, defying the laws of gravity.

Its silhouette is reminiscent of certain later explorations by British designer Tom Dixon of the sculptural chair, notably his famous Question Mark Chair, of which this piece seems to offer a more handcrafted and instinctive interpretation.

A unique piece, rare in its design, straddling the line between design and sculpture. It can be considered both as an occasional seat and as a true sculptural presence in an interior.

Good overall condition, showing slight signs of age consistent with its age. The antique braiding is in excellent condition.
