This iconic desk was designed in the 1960s by Herbert Hirche, a Bauhaus student and collaborator of Mies van der Rohe, in his signature minimalist style. It features a floating tabletop and a freely suspended drawer unit. Two shallow drawers are integrated beneath the tabletop. The dark gray of the frame and drawer handles contrasts beautifully with the warm teak tone.
The wooden components are made of teak-veneered particleboard, and the drawers are made of beechwood. The frame is constructed of welded and lacquered steel tubing.
All wooden surfaces have been sanded and finished with a matte lacquer. The steel tube frame and the plastic drawer slides are in good original condition.
Please note that the colors in the photos may differ from the actual item due to technical limitations (display variations on different devices).
