An Archimede Seguso Murano glass millefiori bowl, produced in Italy during the 1950s, combining vibrant multicoloured murrine with rich ruby-red incalmo glass in one of the designer's most recognisable decorative forms. The bowl is hand-blown with a substantial clear crystal base densely packed with colourful millefiori murrine canes, creating a richly detailed mosaic visible from every angle. Above, a thick layer of translucent ruby-red Murano glass is seamlessly joined using the traditional incalmo technique, producing a striking contrast between the transparent crystal and saturated red glass. Its freeform circular body is finished with an organically flowing rim that rises into softly peaked triangular curves, giving the piece a sculptural quality whether viewed from above or in profile. The heavy construction and fluid silhouette exemplify the refined Venetian glassmaking for which Archimede Seguso became internationally celebrated. Millefiori and murrine vessels by Archimede Seguso remain among the most sought-after examples of post-war Murano glass, admired for their technical mastery, vibrant colour and sculptural presence. Condition Good vintage condition with a few tiny chips to two areas on the exterior of the bowl. These are minor and do not detract from the overall presentation. Please refer to the photographs.
