This Really is an Absolutely Beautiful & Quite Unusual Original Matching Set of 5 Antique - Victorian Sheffield Silverplate Napkin Rings. These Large Size Figurative Napkin Rings ( Each Measuring 5 inches Tall ) are Rendered in a Classic Italian Putti Style. Each One is Substantially Solid Cast in Hard White Metal Weighing Approx 6.7 Ounces.
They are Signed by the Maker "J T & Co S - SHEFFIELD". I was Able to Identify and Confirm the Mark to be that of John Turton & Company - Located in Sheffield England - In Business From 1898 to 1923. Because of the Late Victorian Aesthetic Revival Style I Would Estimate that They were Made in Approx 1900. The Set is in Excellent Condition and They Display Beautifully!. They Would Appear to have Seen Very Little Use Over the Years. There is No Excessive Wear to the Silver Plating and They Will Surely Polish Up Beautifully for Many Years to Come. They are Lightly Tarnished. No Damage - No Repairs.
