Bring warmth and old-world character to your home with this vintage brass-clad Anglo-Indian style chowki pedestal table. Handcrafted over a wood core and wrapped in richly embossed brass sheeting, this decorative riser features intricate repoussé floral and scrolling vine motifs across the top, apron, and sculptural legs.
Traditionally inspired Indian chowki tables were used as ceremonial stands and display platforms. Today they make wonderful pedestals for ginger jars, bronze sculptures, candles, orchids, or stacked coffee table books, fitting beautifully into English Country, Hollywood Regency, Bohemian, Mediterranean, or collected traditional interiors.
The aged brass has developed an attractive natural patina with areas of verdigris that highlight the intricate embossed detailing and give the piece authentic vintage character.
This substantial square pedestal works equally well on a console, coffee table, bookshelf, or kitchen island as an elevated display stand.
