The colors in the stone are a pale … Read more These small 14k gold huggies dangle a beautiful carved leaf watermelon tourmaline. The colors in the stone are a pale pink and an amber yellow, and the tourmaline has been hand carved into tiny leaves with pretty details and nice delineation. Their mounts were carefully sculpted to mimic the shape of the leaf, with a bezel that outlines the leaf on the backside and four prongs that hold the tourmaline in place—a lot of attention was paid to ensure that these beautiful stones were given an equally pretty mount. We love the slight asymmetry to the pink and yellow within the stone, and the tourmaline is translucent enough that when it catches the light it has a nice flash of color.

The earrings measure 1” from top to boom. The tourmaline leaf measures 1/2” x 3/8”. Combined, they weigh 4.9 grams. Unmarked, the earrings acid test as 14k gold. The huggies snap close with a nice click.
