This is a very rare large art deco purple glass floating bowl.
Design: attributed to Josef Inwald (1837-1906)
Made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s and 1930s.
It shows a purple matte figure of a Dancer with her arms above her head. The figure is seated in a flower frog with 12 holes. Bowl with balls around the rim of the bowl is very attractive. The bowl has stripes running from each ball towards the center of the bowl.
Bowl dimensions: diameter: 29 cm, height: 11 cm
Dimensions of Flower Frog: diameter: 15 cm, height: 4 cm
Dancer dimensions: height: 21 cm, width 3-10 cm
Total height about 26 cm
Total weight: 2850 g
Condition:
Excellent preservation, no scratches or chips, one small bubble is visible, and at the bottom of the figure there is a cavity similar to a crack, created in the production of glass (not a crack, see the last two pictures).
