Modernist elegant and completely restored side or console table of Thonet design made by TON after nationalization of Thonet factories … Read more Modernist elegant and completely restored side or console table of Thonet design made by TON after nationalization of Thonet factories in former Czechoslovakia in early 50s. Perfect height of 76 cm.
Stripped off varnish by, hand sanded, light repairs to top Oak veneer, stained to combination black/dark walnut and coated with 6 layers of Osmo hard wax oil to semi gloss. Around 10 hours of work in total. Desk and frames bears light traces of age. There is some unevenness on one leg but has no influence on aesthetic or performance. Table is sound and without any wood worm traces. Depending on light available color ranges from black to dark brown. Marked with remains of the label. This piece has an attribution mark,
