Simply captivating, this small glazed stoneware vase by Léon Pointu radiates a tranquil beauty typical of early 20th-century ceramic design. Rather squat, it is adorned with two looped handles that give it the appearance of an antique jar, gentle and familiar. The exceptional richness of its glaze is striking: a deep and intense cobalt blue, a zone of crystallization with hints of lavender and pearly white, like a cloud frozen in the clay, and a flow of olive green speckled with yellow. This is a touching, warm, and intriguing piece that will bring an Art Nouveau touch to your home.
The vase is antique and in superb condition. It is signed on the bottom "Léon Pointu France-177".
