A striking zebra stone mineral vide-poche, carved from a richly patterned natural stone exhibiting bold, high-contrast marbling in shades of ivory, charcoal, and soft gray. The rectangular form features a gently dished circular center, ideal for use as a catchall for small objects, while the exterior retains a slightly irregular, layered edge that highlights the stone’s natural stratification. The polished upper surface enhances the dramatic veining, contrasted by the more textured sides that reveal the material’s organic formation. Both sculptural and functional, this piece offers a modern, graphic presence suited to a desk, entryway, or tabletop display. Likely 20th century.
