Vintage decorative Middle Eastern-inspired textile panel, cushion cover. Made in Turkey.
* Material: Deep burgundy velvet or velour.
* Trim: Gold metallic braid surrounding the central field.
* Fringe: Alternating burgundy and gold tassels sewn around all four sides.
* Center: An appliquéd printed image depicting a Turkish bath (hamam) scene, showing bathers in a domed interior. The image resembles a late 19th-century Orientalist painting, which was a popular decorative motif.
* Construction: The central print have been sewn onto the velvet rather than woven into it, suggesting it was produced as a decorative souvenir or luxury furnishing rather than an antique tapestry.
