Wanscher is one … Read more An elegant and very comfortable lounge chair in teak, model Senator, designed by Danish professor Ole Wanscher. Wanscher is one of Denmark's most appreciated designers and is known for his timeless design where classic proportions meet outstanding craftsmanship and materials of the highest quality.

Senator is an armchair that feels as natural today as when it was designed. It offers fantastic seating comfort while the clean lines and airy construction give a light and elegant expression.

The armchair has open ends with long, softly curved armrests that give the model its characteristic silhouette. The slatted back creates an airy feeling and makes the armchair feel easy to place, regardless of whether it stands alone or together with a sofa and footstool.

The cushions are loose and reversible and equipped with zippers, which makes them easy to maintain. The upholstery still has a nice spring and provides a very comfortable sitting experience.

Unlike many modern lounge chairs, the Senator has a seat height of approximately 44 cm, which makes it much easier to get up from and just as comfortable for longer sittings as for a while with a cup of coffee or a good book.

The armchairs are upholstered in a light beige original fabric with a wool texture and are in good condition.

In the last pictures we show examples of Senator armchairs, footstool and sofa that we have reupholstered for customers in the classic wool fabric Hallingdal 65 from Kvadrat, but we are happy to help you find both fabrics that suit your home.
