An elegant piece of furniture in a classic design, showcasing the beautiful texture of the old oak.

A clean-lined, two-drawer oak body with geometric frame mouldings, a slightly projecting, offset top panel and fluted corner posts tapering to square legs.

Two brass handles and a brass key escutcheon fitted.

The interior and back panel are made of softwood.

Ready for use, with slight age-related signs of wear, including visible repairs, especially to the legs. The piece is slightly lopsided (see photos). The lock on the bottom drawer is not in working order. The brass fittings are not the original ones from the piece of furniture, but they are appropriate for the period and style. The dark surface finish has been stripped from the wood and it has been carefully sanded, revealing the beautiful, unsealed matt texture of the oak. See less
