This vintage pair of … Read more A French pair of carved-wood and upholstered Louis XV style armchairs from the mid 20th century. This vintage pair of fauteuils from France each feature gracefully curved top rails carved in a delicate floral motif, a cartouche shaped backrest, arms with padded manchettes and knuckles with carved volutes that continue down onto sloped arm posts. The scalloped skirt is floral carved motif at its front center. The chairs are presently upon for cabriole style legs with sweetly carved flowers adorning the knees. The seat, back and manchettes are upholstered in striped fabric with dot accents. The wood has a creamy beige finish, with areas of wood showing through is some areas. This pair of mid 20th century French fauteuils (armchairs) will make a comfortable and fashionable small seating arrangement, perfect for a living room or bedroom. See less
