The structure … Read more A dressing table of elegant neoclassical design, comprising a table with curved lines and a folding oval mirror. The structure is made of solid and veneered wood, finished in off-white with a subtle decorative distressing that enhances its classic character.
The tabletop features a decoration of alternating stripes in white and stone gray tones, topped with a gilded perimeter molding of small beads. It has two front drawers with original gilt bronze handles inspired by Louis XVI.
The central mirror, oval in shape with beveled glass, is mounted on two ornamental cast iron or gilt bronze supports richly decorated with vegetal motifs and scrolls. On either side are decorative elements in the form of torches or candlesticks in the Empire style, topped with ornamental crests.
The front legs are turned and stylized, while the rear legs are joined by an elegant curved stretcher, lending visual lightness to the piece.
Sturdy structure.
White lacquered finish with intentional distressing in a ""shabby chic"" or decorative aged style.
Gold-plated hardware and decorative elements in good overall condition. Mirror with beveled edges and slight signs of wear consistent with age. See less
