The hinged lid is adorned with a delicate sterling silver overlay, meticulously heat-bonded to the base metal using Otto Heintz's patented solder-less process.

Two stylized, geometric plant-like motifs sit flush along the top and bottom borders, framed by a thin silver line with subtle tabs on the left and right margins.
