The underside of the armchair bears the serial number (no. 00191) and verner panton’s engraved signature, as well as the original polythema mark.

the vp 01 / cone chair is a limited-edition reissue of the iconic ‘cone chair’, released in 1994 and designed by the renowned danish designer verner panton, which was manufactured by the german company polythema. In this series, panton has reinterpreted the geometric form – originally designed in 1958 and inspired by pop art – using new materials and modern, structural details, thereby transforming the piece of furniture into a true work of art\.

instead of the traditional cross-shaped base, the majority of the polythema models were fitted with a unique, plate-shaped, high-gloss chrome-plated base.

leather and metal versions (types a / b): there were also more minimalist versions, in which the frame was made from simplified, chrome-plated sheet steel and fitted with elegant black leather upholstery.

the armchair has a sturdy frame, is comfortable and, with its distinctive design, can become a real eye-catcher in any modern or design-oriented interior.

condition: very attractive and well-preserved. The leather shows a few tiny, superficial signs of wear, which are only visible at close range, under high magnification and in suitable lighting conditions. There are minimal hairline cracks on the polished steel base caused by use; overall, however, the armchair is in excellent aesthetic condition\.
