The top crown is accented with carved dental … Read more 19th century Swedish gustavian style bookcase or display cabinet, crafted in pine. The top crown is accented with carved dental molding, while carved fluted sides topped by small floral medallions add graceful decorative detail. The lower cabinet has two doors with traditional diamond motifs set within the panels and rests on tapered fluted feet, giving the piece a classic Swedish look. The entire bookcase has been given a newer layered light gray painted finish with antique white undertones, lightly distressed to accent the carving and suit the aged grace of the cabinet. The four shelves are adjustable, adding flexibility for display or storage. The original lock and key still function in the lower cabinet. Restored strong, stable, and ready to use.
