Jean-Claude Séguin is a French ceramicist associated with the stoneware tradition of Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, in Burgundy, one of the historical centers of ceramics in France. Trained in this environment where stoneware work has been perpetuated for generations, he developed a style combining technical mastery, simplicity of form, and sensitivity to materials and glazes. In 1983, they established a new workshop in the old mill of La Canerie in St Vérain. They create unique pieces and sculptures inspired by traditional pottery from Puisaye and Berry (16th-19th centuries), drawing inspiration from the "Talbot" style.
