This … Read more A British Colonial daybed or coffee table (depending upon your needs) from Kerala, India in the early 20th century. This antique coffee table from India, approximately 6.75 feet in length, was originally made to be a daybed, with rectangular-shaped plank board top, resting upon four nicely carved feet at each underside corner. This daybed is constructed of a durable tropical hardwood, similar to teak in its strength. The medium tone wood has some patina and areas of wear; all which we think add to the charm and history of this piece. This early 20th century British Colonial daybed would be a fantastic addition to a screened in porch (adorned with pillows atop), or perhaps finding use in a more casual living area as a larger-sized coffee table.
