This is a luxurious piece of cabinetmaking that combines elegant proportions with extraordinary ornamental richness.
it is veneered with carefully selected fine woods and decorated with abundant, finely chased gilt bronze mounts.
the most spectacular element of the piece is the magnificent reclining gilt bronze putto (cherub) that crowns the top of the desk, lending it a distinct sculptural character and becoming one of its most unique features.
