This is a chunky hand-carved wooden floor screen or room divider, produced by Pacific Northwest furniture creator Witco. The silhouette was part of their Tiki Chateau collection, designed in 1959 by William Westenhaver.
The panels are made of stained, large-grained cedar that has been chainsaw-carved and blowtorch-scorched.
The hinges and fittings are blackened iron, giving the piece the Spanish aesthetic that Witco is known for.
The screen measures 1.5 inches deep, 55 inches wide and 72 inches high.
