A beautifully preserved Victorian punched paper motto reading "No Place Like Home," embroidered with silk thread in Gothic lettering and winding floral vines. Perforated paper embroidery became popular in America and England during the mid-to-late 19th century, when it was taught as an elegant ladies' needlework and often displayed in parlors as symbols of hospitality and family. This example was likely made circa 1850–1895, probably in the United States or England. It has been professionally reframed with a complementary mat and gilt frame to preserve and display the original work.
