An impressive floor lamp by the Italian manufacturer Sirrah, Milan, designed by Kazuhide Takahama in the early 1980s. This is the gold version.
Postmodern in form, color, and materiality. A functional uplighter and an imposing object in any room. The slender lamp body is structured by folds and indentations, reminiscent of monumental architecture. Its scale is difficult to grasp. Two decorative gold spheres rest on the base. The lamp is made of sheet metal with a gold anodized finish. The base is made of concrete. The underside is rubberized. The lamp features a dimmer switch.
The control knob is shaped like a sphere, in keeping with the design.
The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina.
