Offered as gifts to loyal buyers of Robert Laffont editions in the 1980s, this small patinated brass sculpture or candle holder represent the head of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha.
Sometimes known as "Shakyamuni", this is one of the most popular Buddha faces. This spiritual master from the 5th century B.C. profoundly influenced the Buddhist religion of Asia, of which he is considered the founder.
Made for Robert Laffont Editions in Paris France during the 1980s.
Measurements: 12.5X11X8cm. This piece has an attribution mark,
