Pair of Qianlong period Chinese porcelain vases
18th century
Brought to France in the 18th century
These vases were mounted on Louis XVI style bronze mounts decorated with dolphins.
The bronze is remarkably finely chased, gilded, and polished with agate.
The porcelain has a powder pink glaze. In the center, two cartouches, two roosters, and a butterfly are depicted in a garden.
On the body, friezes and chrysanthemum flowers typical of the famille rose style are depicted.
Dimensions: 25 x 13 x 9 cm
Excellent condition; no restoration has been carried out (verified under UV light).
