We are selling this unusual Japanese satsuma style vase. This vase appears to be porcelain not satsuma stoneware, with high fired enamel decoration. The decoration has well painted figure groups but is unsigned. THere are numerous condition issues with the vase.
Condition: The mouth of the vase has been cut down and gilded. There are several hairlines in the glaze of the vase. There is a large dark hairline in the porcelain at the foot rim.
