This eclectic piece harmoniously combines the French court styles, recognizable by the elegant Louis XIV style framework, the asymmetrical Louis XV style cartouche, and the refined Louis XVI style ribbon.

The top features a rich cartouche displaying a woven flower basket set among scrolls and flower garlands. The lower panels are deeply carved with a central shell motif (rocaille), flanked by symmetrically draping floral swags and acanthus scrolls.

The screen is upholstered with striped silk panels in muted red and blue tones featuring gold floral patterns, finished on the back with a two-tone decorative cord. The woodwork offers a warm appearance with a beautifully weathered patina. This monumental object brings a classical, sophisticated atmosphere to a spacious salon or bedroom.
