Catalog model Fn24
This armchair is a premium exemplar of interwar functionalism and avant-garde Bauhaus style from the 1930s. Manufactured in Czechoslovakia, the design masterfully balances the structural lightness of bent metal tubes with pristine human ergonomics. It represents a highly popular and iconic cantilever model from the renowned Mücke-Melder company (Model Fn 24), uniquely distinguished by its rarely seen high-back configuration, making it a remarkably comfortable and highly sought-after item among collectors.
The armchair has undergone a comprehensive, uncompromising professional restoration, executed with supreme attention to historical accuracy and artisan craftsmanship. The resilient tubular chrome-plated steel frame has been professionally polished to a flawless mirror shine, retaining all its original elasticity and structural strength. The handsomely sculpted solid beechwood armrests have been newly finished in a deep black piano lacquer and buffed to a luxurious high gloss, creating a striking geometric contrast with the chrome frame. The seat and backrest have been newly and professionally upholstered over a traditional coil-spring core with premium genuine Italian leather in an elegant cream-white shade, beautifully accentuated by contrasting dark piping along the edges.
Delivering an unrepeatable combination of verified historical pedigree, ultra-premium materials, and supreme lounging comfort, this restored statement piece represents a prime investment opportunity. It will effortlessly serve as a commanding highlight within a reading nook, a modern living room, an industrial loft, or an executive office space. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
