Art Deco vase in glazed ceramic with a rounded form and turquoise and black geometric decoration. An elegant example of Rörstrand’s 1930s functionalist design language. Origin: Sweden. Designer: Ilse Claesson. Material: Ceramic. Dimensions: H. 13 cm, D. 13 cm. Period: 1930s. Condition: Excellent condition with light signs of wear. Ilse Claesson (1905–1969) was a Swedish ceramicist and designer active at Rörstrand during the 1920s and 30s. Her work reflects the Art Deco and functionalist aesthetics of the era, often featuring geometric motifs and bold contrasts. Today her pieces are prized examples of Rörstrand’s early modernist period. See less
