Tall cylindrical bottle, straight vertical profile, terminates in a narrow bottleneck opening. The vessel features a dark cat's eye reduction fired glaze with melt fissures. Hand-signed script signature to underside: [NATZLER] with typed archive alphanumeric designation: [O166]. Catalogued by Gail Reynolds Natzler.
Measures: 16 H x 3 D in (41 x 8 cm).
Approx. weight: 3 pounds.
Provenance: The Private Collection of Gertrud & Otto NATZLER, retained directly by the artists for their personal repository. Managed and preserved post-mortem by the Natzler Family Trust.
Note: Offered is a piece chosen by the Natzler's as an especially significant example of their practice and drawn from the collection they assembled for themselves, produced in 1968, a year that represents a peak creative window for their legendary 30-year artistic collaboration.
