This charming blue and white piece appears to be a vintage covered soup tureen or condiment server with underplate and ladle, decorated in a romantic pastoral transferware pattern.
The creamy white earthenware body is adorned with cobalt blue scenes depicting cottages, trees, and floral motifs, reminiscent of traditional English and Dutch transferware designs.
