Charles Schneider
A beautiful 1925-1930 French art deco hanging fixture in gilded bronze or solid brass holding a nice Schneider shade in mottled cream and orange-red glass. These types of shades were done in hand blown double layered glass with pigment inclusions. The nice art nouveau style mount is adorned with three scarab beetles. The chandelier has a height of 24,2 inches (61,5 cm) and the shade has a diameter of 13,78 inches (35 cm). It is signed Schneider. And is very good condition. The gilt plating shows wear consistent with age. I have cleaned the fixture and it comes newly wired. The chandelier holds three American candelabra base sockets.
