Daum freres & Louis Majorelle
A French art deco pendant light in wrought iron with a Daum bowl in mottled orange coloured blown glass. Made between 1919-1926. It is signed Daum Nancy. The furniture designer Louis Majorelle had a large forge in the city of Nancy and together with Daum these two illustrious École de Nancy members produced a wide range of vases lamps and chandeliers with glass produced by Daum and wrought iron mounts by Majorelle.
The pendant light has a total height of 24 inches (61 cm) and the glass bowl has a diameter of 14"(35,6 cm). The pendant light is in excellent condition. The shade is without chips or cracks and the iron mount has a nice patina. It is rewired with an American standard socket.
