Daum freres & Louis Majorelle
eucalyptus
A 1920s French art deco pendant light in wrought iron with a rare cameo glass bowl by Daum. In an acid-etched dark-green glass decoration over a yellow and orange mottled coloured background. It is signed Daum Nancy. This model is called eucalyptus.
The furniture designer Louis Majorelle had a large forge in the city of Nancy and together with Daum these two illustrious école de Nancy members produced a wide range of vases lamps and chandeliers with glass produced by Daum and wrought iron by Majorelle.
The pendant light has a total height of 29,1 inches (74 cm) and the glass bowl has a diameter of 12,6 inches (32 cm). Contact me if you want the chandelier to have another height. The chandelier is in excellent condition. It is rewired with three American candelabra base sockets.
