Italian Modern Console Table Designed By Osvaldo Borsani.
Offered is an outstanding mid century Italian curved console table with a steped marble base, marbelized mirror interior shelf and a beautiful unusual marble top designed by Osvaldo Borsani in the 1950's.
A most unusual design.
This console table is unmarked however similar examples have been documented in publications on designs of Osvaldo Borsani from this period of his career.
Osvaldo Borsani (1911–1985) was a pioneering Italian architect and furniture designer who transitioned fine artisanal cabinet making into mass industrial production. He is celebrated for merging rationalist architecture with technology-driven, highly adjustable furniture designs that became icons of 20th-century modernism.
