Hand-thrown in stoneware, it features a richly textured volcanic glaze in ochre, brown, and black tones with applied geometric relief bands encircling the shoulder and lower body. Measuring approximately 14 inches in height, the vase presents a bold architectural silhouette and bears an impressed signature and production numbers to the unglazed base.

The sculptural form reflects the strong influence of Italian Modern and Brutalist ceramic design, where texture, earthy glazes, and geometric relief became defining decorative elements. The heavily modelled volcanic surface contrasts with the orderly applied banding, creating visual depth while emphasising the craftsmanship of the hand-thrown vessel. The substantial proportions make it particularly well suited as a floor vase, console vase, or standalone decorative object.
