A matching pair of Biedermeier watercolors. Views of the harbour with details that suggest certain geography, in one a volcano, in the other a tiered tower by the harbour. Two men provide the connection to the scene as they are front and center of the scene, beyond them.
Circular windows and square git frames in Biedermeier design. The measurements are 4.25" by 8.25" and the window is 3.75" in diameter. Amazing little details in these small views of a large harbour. Original closing on the backs. Gilt wood and gesso frames.
